Message: Produce is great sometimes, try their corn tortillas made fresh by them at the deli, or their flour tortillas, ready to eat.. yummy

Message: So a friend suggested I come here to get the hot food. I had to get a few things in the grocery anyway so why not. I shopped my grocery first. I ordered myself a torta and a steak burrito for my guy since he was just getting off work and hungry. I check out, pick up food and head home. That torta……. One of the best I’ve had ever I think. The chicken was so moist and full of flavor topped with all the things I like, guacamole, tomato, onion, cilantro, etc. And it was huge! Just delicious. My guy loved his burrito as well! Next time I’m getting me a steak torta. I got two churros from the bakery and some pineapple empanadas to try later on. Can’t wait.

Message: Asked for service trying to find an item we saw online. The young man took us to it's location where it was hanging under something else not being able to find or see it. The young man then informed us another isle location where it was half the cost, which was awesome! However, everything else in the store we looked at was cheaper in Walmart.

Message: I really love this market. Most items are priced reasonably. Every now and then they have an amazing Taco Trio that includes steak, chicken and pork for$19. 99. It's easy to make and the flavor so good. There is a lot of parking and the staff is very nice.

Message: After 20 years, we still love Food City on Dysart. Especially now, when we're all aghast at food prices, Food City continues to provide affordable produce, meat, and bakery products. Very welcoming to those of us who might be unfamiliar with Mexican products, with staff always ready to help. (and they have never questioned my Service Dog! ). Hints for New Customers:. If you haven't been before, focus on the produce. Items are not cosmetically perfect; apples and pears will have bruises, but the price makes up for the imperfections. Loose potatoes and sweet potatoes will have odd shapes and sizes, and there will be Mexican produce you may not have seen before such as jicama and nopales, and every imaginable pepper variety... Employees stocking produce might not be bilingual, but all the managers and check-out clerks can assist.. Then plan on shopping the perimeter of the store. --- bulk rice, dried beans from open bins. --- Mexican Coca-Cola and other sodas. --- dried herbs and seasonings in envelops and large containers. --- many different cuts of meats, soup bones, organ and variety meats not available elsewhere, plus butchers to cut custom orders.. Admitted, we usually pass up the aisles, unless I specifically need raw sugar or canned frijoles. But don't miss the Bakery! Fresh in-store tortillas, tres-leche cake, conchas, etc.. On the weekends, a Mariachi group might be providing music, or, like he did yesterday, Gen Manager Sam might call on everyone in the store to wish Happy Birthday to a customer's child!

Message: I went in late night close to closing time so I had to be quick, the store was pretty calm not a whole lot of people in their, which I don’t mind at all. Everything I needed for my wife to make tamales was all stocked up and easy to get with a lot of brands to choose from too satisfy one’s needs. Usually when making tamales this store is what comes to mind for ingredients. Also if you ever want to try a good healthy drink from their kitchen I would suggest the cucumber lime with chia seeds is very refreshing just so you know.
