Message: Synopsis: Reminds me of delis back home in New York; great feel, kind folks, amazing sandwiches.. Girlfriend and I are vacationing in the Phoenix area and wanted sandwiches while we visited the Botanical Garden and Zoo. We found this place while looking through recommendations.. It’s your traditional convenience store with a deli attached to it. The guys working the market were incredibly nice. We placed our orders quickly, pastrami sandwich and a club. Didn’t do any sides but we did grab some unique chips and fountain drinks. Our sandwiches were done in about 5 minutes and were well worth the wait.. We were thrilled with our stop at the 56th Street Deli. Between the food, the service, and the selection it was a great choice for our sandwich fix.. 5 Deli Fresh Stars out of 5!

Message: Reminded me a little of bodegas. Simple market, great for simple sandwiches. We tried the BLT and egg salad. Bacon was nice and crispy, but my boyfriend was wishing for more mayo. They have a nice drink section with a few things you can't find at most convenience stores, like Ito En green iced tea, and carries a few grocery staples like single eggs. Service was friendly and helpful.

Message: I had a great sandwich from this market I wish I would have taken a picture of it it was a corned beef on rye. I'll be back it was delicious.

Message: Dustin Miller tried telling me to stay away but I'm glad I didn't listen. This place has the best sandwiches around. Do yourself a favor and give them a shot! Don't be a Dustin!

Message: By far the best sandwiches in phoenix. My personal favourites are, the hot turkey bacon on a roll, and the pastrami on marble rye.

Message: The sandwiches were great. Sides are limited to macaroni or potato salad, or chips. I skipped them. Three bean salad would have been good. I don't recommend the $2. 99 nachos. The owners are very nice, and many of the customers are local repeats.

Message: Finally went here for a sandwich after living in the area for so long. And was impressed. Great local family owned gem. Great sandwiches for $7. Reminded me of the convenient mart that I grew up with. Will fill you up. And nachos + drink for $4?! ? Heck ya.

Message: Was working in the area decided to try the deli for lunch. They have a decent selection. I went with the turkey pastrami and was not disappointed. They make a great, homemade style sandwich. And I sat outside for a while and watched this place get slammed right around lunch time so you know they are doing something right. Worth the trip if you are even remotely close and looking for a great deli sandwich.
